How to Give Successful Presentations

Whether it's five people around a boardroom table, 150 people in a community hall, or a key-note presentation at a convention of thousands, presentation can be an unnerving experience. This workshop will help participants organize their information, plan effective presentations and drastically increase confidence levels. Explore different types of speeches, time-honoured storytelling techniques and practical tips to keep your skills sharp and your stories captivating.

...real life video samples, both good and bad... workbooks... individual coaching, critiquing and assignments... samples from participants' experience to enrich the learning environment for everyone.

Speeches

What's the point (or fun) of taking a public speaking class without having the opportunity to deliver a presentation? Participants will be given time to prepare and deliver a presentation on topics of their choosing, all under the watchful and supportive eye of our instructors and fellow participants. The presentation will be recorded and then reviewed to find out what went well and what areas need fine tuning.

Note: Our learning environment is acclaimed for offering participants a refreshing sense of safety from "the-fear-of-failure". Our priority and methodology is establishing a sense of security and trust with our participants so that they may - perhaps for the very first time - also explore new ideas in the spirit of self-improvement, where the outcome is secondary to experience of growth and a greater sense of self-awareness during public speaking. Participants frequently enjoy a sense of exhilaration and dignity as we highly encourage our clients to work beyond their usual "comfort zone" and enthusiastically acknowledge when they do.

Also if time allows, some participants may be allowed to make a second presentation, repeat their earlier speech, or work in tandem with a colleague.
